All you have to do is collect a semen sample and send it to us via an overnight carrier and we will mail you a detailed, comprehensive report on your semen quality and provide recommendations. The Home Semen Analysis is performed using state-of-the-art, computer-assisted semen analysis (CASA) technology, and is cross referenced by our experts who have 25 years of experience in Andrology in order to ensure proper quality control.
What is a semen analysis?
A semen analysis evaluates the seminal characteristics of the ejaculate, in order to assess whether there are any deficiencies that may impair fertilization and subsequent pregnancy. The various parameters tested are:
•Semen volume
•Sperm concentration
•Sperm count
•Percentage motile sperm
•Grade of motility
•Normal sperm morphology
These parameters allow us to detect if there are any problems with the reproductive system, so that you and your physician may isolate the problem and treat it efficiently and effectively.
Who needs to have a semen analysis?
Anyone who is having trouble conceiving should have a semen analysis done. In about 40% of infertile couples, the cause of the infertility lies with the males, and this could easily and quickly be diagnosed via a semen analysis. Also potential donors and those shipping cooled semen for at-home insemination, to ensure you have an adequate sperm count to cause a pregnancy.

The Home Semen Analysis Kit (The BioTranz™) is a unique service which allows you to identify any possible deficiencies that you may have in your semen. Those deficiencies are defined according to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. We do check for a variety of semen parameters that are established by the WHO as predictive of one's ability to fertilize and achieve a pregnancy.
If no deficiencies are noted during your first semen analysis, we would recommend that a second semen analysis is not necessary but can be done only as an option in order to confirm the results. If your semen analysis shows minor or slight deficiencies, we would recommend that a second semen analysis be done by us to confirm the results. However, if major or more severe abnormalities are noted, then we would recommend that you consult a urologist or an infertility expert near you, in order to properly identify those deficiencies and explore various treatment options available. It is important to realize that semen parameters could vary from sample to sample, and therefore a final diagnosis cannot and should not be made about your ability to fertilize and reproduce based on only one semen sample.
